If you Stumble, get back up.
But that's okay...
Because today... I got back on track.
Nobody likes to fail. Nobody starts off wanting to fail. We don't start this health rollercoaster ride thinking we will eventually fall off. And sometimes we never get on the rollercoaster because we don't want to fail.
But... I set this goal for myself. This is my goal, and my dream to be fit and fabulous by fifty. I do not want to let myself down. I do not want to fool myself with excuses. I told you in my very first blog that this was going to be a real person, being real about their journey to fitness and health. So here it goes.
Not sure when it happened or why it happened, but I replaced my good feelings from a work out with other things. I started sewing instead of the treadmill, I started running errands instead of running on the treadmill, telling myself it was okay I could go on the treadmill tomorrow, and then the next day I would say it again, it's okay you can go on the treadmill tomorrow. That was two months ago!!!
It happened slowly - it fell off my priority list a little each day. All of a sudden I realized I was at the bottom of every fit bit challenge, I had 0 active days in a week. Yesterday I went golfing and I got winded walking up a small hill and I said to myself, how did that happen?
So I questioned myself and these are the facts.
I chose to stop, I chose to put things in a different priority, I let myself down, I stopped making time for my health, I chose to be okay with that.
I am not okay with that anymore and that is okay.
So I chose to start again, I chose to change my priorities back, I chose to stop letting myself down, I chose to make time with my health, I chose to be okay with that.
So as we all know life is about choices. Are you making the right ones? Have you chosen to make yourself a priority? or have you Chosen to make excuses and be okay with that?
Whatever your choices are, be aware of them, ask yourself... Am I okay with my choices today?
I stumbled... I am okay with that.
But I am not okay with staying down.
I choose to get back up? Do you?
